The Way of Shadows is the beginning of The Night Angel trilogy. The series follows a wetboy; that is,an assassin with the ability to use magic. Overall, it's a good book.
So, one day I got this book in the form of an omnibus volume in Indiana on Purdue's college campus, and I do not regret it in the slightest. It didn't take too long for me to really enjoy this while I was away during vacation. The language was harsher than what I usually read from a novel, and it tackled quite a few different things that are hardly touched in all the books I've read. It may have got slow at parts, but it kept me wanting to read more a majority of the time. The only reason I didn't want to read more was because I felt like doing something else or because I was tired.
