Ju-on is a book that's a complete novelization of the movies by the same name. I thought the writing was very good; though there seemed to be at least one typo. On paper, the story isn't scary so much as mysterious and sad. Overall, it was a good book.
I happened upon the book not long after my 18th birthday in a bookstore in which I had a gift card for. Having seen Ju-on: The Grudge, which is the American version/expansion of the series, I immediately recognized the name. I was excited! So, anyway, while out of my home state, I decided that I'd read it, and I quickly found it hard to put down. I sincerely got stuck in the world! Just 4 days after starting it, I finished it. As of now, this is the book I've finished in the quickest amount of time while willing reading it (I once finished a book in about 6 hours, but I didn't really want to read it for that long).
