Throne of Glass is about a girl who was once an infamous assassin. She got captured by the empire and was thrown into a death camp, where she spent two years in. After these years, the Crown Prince came to the camp to pick her up for a championship that would bring her to freedom.
Overall it's a pretty good book. The end widely implies that there is to be a sequel (which will be released Fall 2013 under the title of Crown of Midnight). There are four prequels to the book.
